Anthony S. Raffa

Anthony “Tony” Raffa, an ordained minister with the Assemblies of God, serves as the Secretary-Treasurer of the Appalachian Ministry Network, an office he was first appointed to by the Network Presbytery in April 2013 and later elected to by the ministers and churches of the network at the 2013 Network Council for a five-year term, and re-elected at the 2018 Network Council for another five-year term.
Reverend Raffa served as lead pastor of First Assembly of God in Parkersburg, West Virginia, for over 10 years, successfully leading the church through a period of growth and debt retirement. Prior to that he served as pastor of New Life Assembly and Principal/Administrator of New Life Christian Academy in Summersville, West Virginia. He is a long-time member of the Network Presbytery, having served as presbyter of both the New River Section and the Appalachian North Section. Additionally, he serves as the Vice President of Academic Affairs and Director of the Appalachian District School of Ministry (AD-SOM). Prior to assuming the school’s directorship in 2012, he served as its assistant director for 11 years. Reverend Raffa also serves as an executive officer (treasurer) of the Association of District Schools of Ministry for the Assemblies of God. He formerly led the Network Commission on Vision and Strategic Planning (V-COM) and directed the Appalachian Regional Church Life Cohort. In addition to his network duties, he serves as a member of the General Presbytery of the Assemblies of God.
 
Reverend Raffa completed his undergraduate degree through North Central University of the Assemblies of God. He later completed his Master’s Degree through the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary where he graduated Magna Cum Laude and earned the Outstanding Student of the Year award for continuing education. 
 
Pastor Tony and his wife Betty have four children and seven grandchildren.
